We welcome your participation and proposal for technical and educational activities for future research and development.
Birds of a Feather on Gender Diversity at ICRA'07
In April 2007, the first special event "Birds of a Feather on Gender Diversity" is held during the 2007 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA'07), one of the major conferences in the field.

JRSJ Special Issue on Women in Robotics
In July 2006, special issue on “Women in Robotics” was published in the Journal of Robotics Society of Japan (JRSJ) (Vol. 24, No.5). The issue contains 12 articles, and 16 women in robotics in Japan, the U.S., Spain, Switzerland and China contributed. "Women in Robotics and Automation towards Human Science, Technology and Society" was originally started from advocates of FRAU, the network for female researchers in robotics and automation in Japan. The following are the starting members of "Women in Robotics and Automation towards Human Science, Technology and Society" who participate in Women in Robotics at IAS-9: Kae Doki, Maria Gini, Keiko Homma, Kazuko Itoh, Kahori Kita, Noriko Nagata, Naoko Ogawa, Fumi Seto and Mihoko Otake. Dr. Mihoko Otake, one of the members of FRAU, proposed and took the initiative of these activities, and developed this website.
