Wie gut wirkt ein Medikament gegen Lungenkrebs? Bisher ließsich diese Frage nur mit Tierversuchen beantworten. Ein neues dreidimensionales Lungenmodell soll künftig genauere Resultate erzielen und Tierversuche langfristig vermindern oder gar ersetzen. Auf der Messe BIO vom 23. bis 26. Juni in San Diego, USA präsentieren die Forscher das neue Modell (German Pavilion, Stand 4513-03).

The “Afro-Brazilian Dance and Cultural Studies” program is a 21-day event focusing intensely on Brazilian dance forms and Afro-Brazilian culture. Participants will witness the rich cultural traditions that honor African heritage and be enrolled in 2-weeks of intensive dance studies in Rosangela Silvestre’s internationally recognized Silvestre Training intensive. Witness Bahia’s most influential groups including Ilê Aiyê, Olodum, and Filhos de Gandhi, rehearsing for Carnaval, take daily classes of Silvestre technique, Capoeira,Orixá movement, ballet, dance theory and simbology, and enjoy weekend excursions.
Earn 3 academic credits during 3 weeks of intensive dance training and cultural immersion. We are seeking Box Office/Front of House staff for various events from late May through late June. Work is located in the East Bay, all BART accessible. Previous box office or front of house experience desirable, but those with strong administrative and people skills will also be qualified for this work.
