Spritsparend und somit umweltfreundlich fliegen?das ist das große Ziel der Airlines. Im EU-Projekt SARISTU soll der Kersosinverbrauch nun um sechs Prozent gesenkt werden, unter anderem durch eine bewegliche Landeklappe. Auf der Messe ILA Berlin Air Show vom 20. bis 25. Mai stellen die Forscher diesen und andere Prototypen vor (Halle 6, Stand 6212).

Marin Theatre Company is still searching for strong candidates for their Theater Management, Production Management, Theatre Arts Education, and Artistic Production internships. They are looking for enthusiastic, organized young theatre artists interested in pursuing these aspects of the industry and in working on the administrative staff of a regional theater.
Start Date: August 11, 2014
End Date: June 19, 2015
Time Commitment:
- Full Season (10 months)
- 35 hours per week
- Daily office hours between 9a-5p, some nights and weekends as needed
- Hours may increase during technical rehearsal/preview weeks and youth performances
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation
- A minimum of four years of college or advanced training post high school
- B.A./ B.F.A or equivalent experience preferred
- Some experience in area of application

This summer, eth aerial arts and the Queer Cultural Center will premier a musical revue featuring circus artists, drag performance and a live band by performer and director Emily Park, titled “Love is Queer! The Gay American Songbook.” This theatrical production will premier at the 2014 National Queer Arts Festival on June 25th and 26th in San Francisco, and they are seeking queer-identified students to help them with stage production in the roles of: wardrobe manager, costumer, costume assistants, assistant stage managers, stagehands, production assistants, and ushers.

Jubilee Consortium is seeking dance and exercise instructor(s) as it expands its programming for youth and adults in Los Angeles and neighboring cities this summer. One-hour adult classes include dance (salsa, ballet, jazz, modern, etc), Zumba, yoga, aerobics, step, cardio-boxing, and Pilates. Children?s programming includes one-hour children?s ballet and hip hop classes for 3-13 years old youth. The classes are held in community sites including schools, churches, and community centers. Generally, adult classes are held during mornings and evenings while children?s programming takes place during after-school hours between 2:00 ? 6:00 pm on weekdays and Saturday mornings between 9:30 ? 11:30 am. Compensation is based on experience and education and is competitive. Bilingual Spanish (or other language) is a preferred, but not required.

Prof. Johanna Wanka, Bundesministerin für Bildung und Forschung, hat heute in Chemnitz die erste E3-Forschungsfabrik eröffnet, in der die Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft an Lösungen für die energie- und ressourceneffiziente Produktion von morgen forscht. Drei weitere Demonstratorstandorte mit unterschiedlichen Schwerpunkten werden derzeit aufgebaut. Gemeinsam mit Industriepartnern sollen entlang des neuen E³-Forschungsansatzes innovative Technologien und Pilotanwendungen praxisnah entwickelt und erprobt werden. Die Effizienz der Ressourcen, Emissionsneutralität und der Mensch stehen gleichermaßen im Fokus.

Mit Hilfe von Drehwinkelsensoren lässt sich die Position eines beweglichen Körpers zu einer Achse bestimmen. Man benötigt sie etwa in der Automobilindustrie, um den Motor nachzuregeln. Fraunhofer-Forscher haben einen neuartigen Sensortyp entwickelt: Er vereint präzise Messungen mit einer flexiblen Handhabung und lässt sich individuell an spezifische Messaufgaben anpassen. Einen Prototyp präsentieren die Forscher vom 3. bis 5. Juni auf der Messe SENSOR + TEST in Nürnberg (Halle 12, Stand 12-537).
