Dr. Keiko Homma began working as a Research Scientist at Mechanical Engineering Laboratory (MEL) in 1989. From 1995 to 1996, she was staying at Helsinki University of Technology as a Visiting Researcher. In 1998 she became a Senior Research Scientist at MEL. In 2001 MEL and other laboratories were reorganized and since then she is a Senior Research Scientist at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). Her main interests center on the application of rehabilitation and assistive robotics. She received the B.Eng. (1989) and Ph.D. (2004) from the University of Tokyo.
